Refreshing Summer Flavours:

Homemade Plum Wine

The weather is getting hotter, which means it’s a great time to make plum wine. Not only does plum wine have a unique taste, it is also very simple to make, so it’s no wonder that many people enjoy making their own homemade plum wine. This summer, why not make a wine plum that is personalised to your taste?

How to Make Plum Wine:

1. Wash the plums with water and soak them for 6 to 8 hours to remove any dirt. Pat the surface of the plums dry.

2. Use a bamboo skewer to remove any dirt from the plums, being careful not to break the skin.

3. In the bottle, put in rock sugar and plums in alternating layers.

4. Slowly pour sake into the bottle and store it in a dark place. Shake the bottle occasionally so the ingredients can mix well.

5. After ageing for 3 to 5 months, pour wine into glass, add ice cubes and enjoy.
