Beef Burger Steak on Mashed Potato with Oyster Shooters and Chocolate Butterscotch Cookies
Beef Burger Steak 

Method:

1. In a mixing bowl, mix the minced beef, diced onion, diced carrot, garlic, egg and chili powder, if used. Season with salt and black pepper.

2. Shape into 2 balls and leave in fridge for about 2 hours.

3. Over a medium heat, pan-fry the beef steak for 2½ minutes each side. Press the steak down while cooking to make sure the heat is even. Set aside.

4. Mix olive oil, lemon juice and chili powder well. Season with salt and sprinkle with spring onion.

5. Serve with mashed potato and beef steak.

6. You can also serve the steak with any BBQ sauce of your choice.


Mashed Potato

Method:

1. Steam the potato and mash with unsalted butter and olive oil. 

2. Season with salt and pepper.
Oyster Shooters

Method:

1. Select oyster in season.

2. Serve with 1½ tbsp of plum wine, ½ tsp of Japanese soya sauce and juice of ¼ lime.


Chocolate Butterscotch Cookies

Method:

1. In a mixing bowl, blend 250g of unsalted butter, 2 eggs and ½ tbsp of vanilla extract with a hand-held mixer.

2. Sift together 2 cups of unbleached all-purpose flour, ¾ cup of cocoa powder and tsp of baking soda.

3. Stir the flour mixture into the egg mixture. Season with 1g of sea salt.

4. Mix in the butterscotch chips well. Line a baking tray, and scoop the cookie mixture into balls.

5. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 150°C for 10 minutes.
