Allspice is a spice made from the dried berries of a plant known as Pimenta dioica. Ground spices are more intense than whole berries, combined the flavours of cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and pepper. As a versatile seasoning, it can be used to season meat, soup, stew, vegetables, or using in baked goods, desserts.
